The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), of which Vietnam and Australia are members, presents a great opportunity for trade and investment. There has been some research done on opportunities generally created by the CPTPP, but none of which focuses on a specific market.

An Australian alumni researcher Phung Thi Lan Phuong summarised all of Australia’s commitments to Vietnam within the framework of the CPTPP and compared them with other free trade agreements between Vietnam and other countries. This research serves as a reliable reference for businesses, investors and workers who want to tap into the Australian market.

I hope this is the first step in further efforts to provide enterprises with information on markets and industries so that they explore the potential of the CPTPP, particularly for Vietnamese businesses and investors to Australia.
