On 28 July 2022, a delegation from the Vietnam – Australia Centre (VAC) visited Lao Cai Political School. The purpose of the visit is to develop a training plan for the provincial political schools. This is the first activity in the VAC’s scoping study.

During their visit, the delegation attended the ministry-level scientific workshop, “Sustainable development of community-based tourism in Sa Pa: Current state and Prospect” which was co-organised by Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and the HCMA.

After the workshop, Dr. Kaye Eldridge, member of the Executive Committee of the VAC commented “The VAC can work with the regional political schools to build the capacity of regional leadership to promptly put the ideas discussed in the workshop into practice”.
