In the implementation of Advanced Political Theory program, and within the framework of the cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Australian Embassy in Hanoi and the Aus4Skills Program, the “Strategic Leadership Skills for Mid-level Officials” training course was organised for participants of K72.A01 Class, from from 26 to 28 April 2022.

Attendees at the course included leaders of the Department of International Cooperation Department of Training Management, Institute of Academic Leadership and Public Policy; Ms. Julie Hart, First Secretary (Human Resource Development) from the Australian Embassy; Ms. Kaye Eldridge, Aus4Skills Program Director; Ms. Dam Thi Phuong Thao, Deputy Director of Aus4Skills Program; and all members K72. A01 class.
This training course was part of a series of activities under the international cooperation program between the HCMA and partners from the US, France, UK, Japan and Korea, which commenced in 2012 with the aim to provide Vietnamese leaders and managers with international knowledge and skills. The program has been implemented through the training classes for strategic leaders for the 12th Party Congress, strategic leadership staff for the 13th Party Congress, and the Advanced Classes of Theory (Special Class A).
The training was delivered both online and face-to-face, by experienced professors, experts, leaders and managers from RMIT University. Ms. Robyn Mudie, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, also attended the program.
The “Strategic Leadership Skills for mid-level officials” course was delivered across three primary themes that are crucial to leadership and management, including Self-leadership and Strategic roadmap; Skills for Leading Others and Cultivate Excellence; and Leading in the Age of Digital Disruption. It emphasised the challenges and problems that both personal development and managing people provide, as well as the numerous strategies and resources available to tackle them.
