Researchers from Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam completed their training course “Enhancing Research Capabilities and Grant Applications” with a wrap-up workshop on 16 February 2023.
The two-part course, held in October and November 2022, helped participants sharpen their research and writing skills to secure more grant funding opportunities from international organisations.
Training facilitators, participants, and Vietnam Australia Centre officers attend the course launch
Participants joined a variety of interactive activities such as group discussion, individual practice on writing techniques and technical information sharing.
Participants completed draft research grant applications for peer review and analysis.
Delivered by experienced Australian and Vietnamese researchers, the course also addressed key challenges for political and social science research in Vietnam and ways to turn them into policies.
Professor Kim Wilkins (The University of Queensland, Australia) share experience on research writing for international publication.
The training course was among contributions to the targeted outcomes of the Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC). The VAC supports Australian experts, including academics, government officials and policy makers, to work with Vietnam’s leadership and build skills.
