The Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC) and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) are collaborating closely in regular training and research activities.
From October to November 2024, the VAC delivered a series of contemporary leadership workshops on “Strategic Policy in Changing Times”, as part of HCMA annual refresher courses for officials at management and leadership roles. Nearly 300 officials from various party committees and agencies at district and provincial levels participated in the workshops.

Delivered by Australian public sector experts with the University of Queensland, the workshops provided crucial insights on leadership amid global megatrends, the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on policy approaches, and ways to harness resources, improve strategic forecasting and risk analysis. This highlights VAC’s active roles in capacity development across Vietnam’s civil services.
