Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC) is pleased to announce the appointments of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung as National Director and Mr. Quentin Derrick as International Director from October 2022.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung – National Director of Vietnam Australia Centre
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung is Assistant to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Politburo, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Theoretical Council.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung earned his bachelor’s degree from Diplomacy Academy of Vietnam and PhD degree from the University of Delaware, USA. Mr. Hung has substantial experience of teaching, researching, and management of development projects. He has also been working as consultant and project manager for various development organizations.
Mr. Quentin Derrick – International Director of VAC
Quentin Derrick, an Australian citizen, is an experienced leader and manager who has been working in the education sector for over 20 years at all levels including schools, VET and Higher Education. He has worked extensively in the ASEAN region including 16 years based in Vietnam working for ILA Vietnam, the University of Queensland, RMIT Vietnam and William Angliss Institute of TAFE. He was also based in Shanghai, China in his role as Regional Business Development Manager for William Angliss Institute.
After returning to Australia for two years, Quentin has come “home” to Vietnam as the International Director of the Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC).
Quentin’s qualifications include a Masters in TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching, Bachelor of Education, International Diploma in Language Teaching Management, Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
